Old
School's Je Ne Sais Quoi
|
|
Jene (pronounced Jenna) was a beautiful dark fawn brindle girl whose pedigree combined every bloodline Old School had ever introduced into our breeding program. She was also a bitch who descended from an unbroken line of bitches, mother to daughter, all the way back to our foundation bitch, Julie. She was the 9th generation of Old School bitches, counting from the unbroken bitch line. She was my ultimate heart dog, so smart and and sweet, and she left a huge hole in my heart when I had to let her go. She is pictured above and in the next 2 pictures below at 5 years of age.Jene is pictured above at 8 years of age winning first in her Veteran Sweeps class at Bucks County KC.Jene is pictured above at 4 years of age.Jene is pictured in the 4 photos above at 3 years of age.Jene placing 2nd in Bred By Exhibitor at Bucks County KC in 2011 under English breeder judge Mr. Nick Waters. She is pictured above at 2.5 years of age.Jene is pictured in the photo above and and below at 24 months of age. |

Jene was a real character and such a funny girl. She was full of energy, fun, and mischief. At shows she always wanted to play with every dog she saw and that went double if it was a puppy who returned her advances. She would bark when she was bored, much like her aunt Lizzie did, which means I had to try to avoid getting to shows too early (or lingering too long). She liked to know what was going on around her and at home, that meant getting a higher vantage point to see over the fence unimpeded. She did this by perching on her favorite lawn chair. Here I was grilling on our deck and Jene was sitting in her chair to better see what I was doing. Of course, as soon as I got the camera she had to get down from the chair! She is 15 months in these photos. |

Jene is pictured below taking her first points going Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex from the Bred by Exhibitor Bitch class at the 2009 VKC show at 15 months of age. It was just one bitch shy of being a major. She loved to show and was always a joy to handle. |

Jene placed 4th in the Bred by Exhibitor Bitch class at the 2009 MCOA National Specialty, despite being only 14 months of age in a large class of more mature bitches. |
